Holly Thomas

Soprano

Soprano Holly Thomas, celebrated for her “crystalline, ringing voice”, has graced esteemed stages in operas and concerts, collaborating with institutions such as Queen City Opera, Teatro Nuovo, Chicago Summer Opera, and The University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. Her favorite roles include Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia and Lisa in La Sonnambula. Holly, currently pursuing a Master's degree at CCM, also recently earned level I certification in Yoga Voice®.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Holly actively engages in community outreach. She attended the Seraphic Fire workshop at the Aspen Summer Music Festival, co-directed opera scenes for the CCM opera club, and served as an assistant director for Le Nozze di Figaro in Memphis. She has been recognized with awards like first place in the Las and Sara Savell Fourth Biennial Vocal Competition, third place at the Tri-State Vocal Competition, received the Presser Award, and first place in the TN Regional NATS. 

Holly is excited to reunite with director Craig Hella Johnson's Vocal Arts Ensemble, conducted by Isaac Cates. Additionally, she looks forward to exploring Schoenberg’s Brettl-Lieder with concertnova this spring and is eagerly anticipating her debut with the Ohio Light Opera this summer.
