Boris Astafiev

Bass

Boris Astafiev is currently Adjunct Professor of Bass at Xavier University in Cincinnati. He joined the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in 1998. Prior to that, he was a member of the Columbus Symphony, the Buffalo Philharmonic, and the Moscow Philharmonic, which he joined at age 19. He also enjoys performing chamber music. He is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory and The Juilliard School.
