MAURICIO AGUIAR, ViolinBrazilian-born Mauricio Aguiar has been a member of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra since 1997, having also served as first violin of the Amernet String Quartet during his first years with the CSO. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master's degree from Yale University, where his teachers were Dorothy DeLay, Won-Bin Yim and Peter Oundjian.
As a violin maker, Mauricio apprenticed with Michael Becker of Chicago. He currently plays on one of his latest violins."
