She was his muse and his soulmate. Was it an old man’s foolish passion or a sublime meeting of art and spirit? Leoš Janáček composd his String Quartet No. 2, “Intimate Letters,” for his last great love, Kamila Stösslová. He felt it was the truest music he ever wrote. But behind the music was a complex chain of human relationships leading both to triumph and to heartbreak. concert:nova presents Janáček’s String Quartet No. 2 together with the story of the lives it touched most intimately.
